Outgrowing our Miracle Blankets

We have swaddled the boys from birth, and when they started breaking out of their swaddles, we began using miracle blankets. They really are miraculous! Unfortunately, Ben has started rebelling against the miracle blanket. Both boys have been breaking free during the night for some time, but it's still helpful in getting them to go to sleep. When we woke Ben up a few mornings ago, however, we decided maybe it's time to consider moving on.

Love this progression of "hey, who turned on the lights," to "hey!"

Both boys have ended up completely turned around (180 degree rotation), but it's usually only Ben who flips to his tummy:

And here are my handsome boys in their sleep sacks.

They did really well the first day! We transitioned a couple of weeks to the sleep sack by keeping one arm out of the swaddle for a while, then both arms. Of course, we had to go back to the miracle blankets after 6 month shots - the boys were all out of sorts last week with not eating or sleeping. I'll give them a few more days then start the transition all over. I bought some footie pajamas, though, which are SO cute, so we're looking forward to sleep sacks for a few weeks, then PJ's!
