Our dentist could host birthday parties, and all the kids would go and ask to go back. Seriously, I took Ben & Jack for their 3 year appointment and they did not want to leave - and I didn't blame them! They played with cars/airplanes in the waiting room, then went back with the dental hygienists who were awesome with them - they sat them down and explained all the instruments with cute little names, let them pick out their toothpaste/etc, and were very patient. Then they got to color a page and hang it on the wall while waiting to do their x-rays, picked out two toys, got a goody bag with a new toothbrush they picked out to take home, got a sticker, and a balloon. After the doctor checked them out they got to play on the waiting room ipad/tv while he talked to me about their teeth. It was crazy! Glad going to the dentist will not be a dreaded appointment over the years :)

When we got home the boys played with their bubble guns outside - we have been spending more and more time in the front yard while Claire sleeps, because it's easier to run inside when she cries or wakes than it is from the back yard. Now we just need to work on boundaries with the boys so they don't leave the front yard!
