Easter 2013

We got our Easter celebrating started early with Passover dinner at the Goldberg's with the Solomon family. It was a nice (and yummy) evening and Jack & Ben found the afikomen! They were really cute stuffing their dollar into their pockets, and somehow managed to turn that $1.00 into $6.00 due to Great-Granddad's generosity. They were quite proud of themselves and showed off their money to everyone :) Ben was very interested in baby Tyce and kept asking "where the baby?"

They next got some egg-hunting practice in at a friend's house and LOVED it! Jack was especially good at finding eggs and the next day at school, his teacher said he dominated the class egg hunt. My rascally Jacks.

We colored Easter eggs during the week and my good boys were perfect! They waited their turn and were patient and interested. Funny story - I let them drop in the first two color tabs, then pushed the next cup and color tab close to them and turned to grab the camera. Duh, mom, they put the color tab in the original cup - which I didn't discover until I realized it in the pictures I took! I hurriedly tried to separate them, which gave me the only color-dyed hands of the three of us for the day. Figures. They loved watching the colors change and dropping in their eggs, then moving them around to make the marbling effect.

On Saturday, we went to the park egg hunt, put on by the boys' school. They hunted eggs and Jack was off-put by the eggs being scattered over the ground. He literally walked around, then dashed ahead to the hill, (we think) thinking that eggs might be hidden over the hill. He kind of looked around until we encouraged him to put some eggs in his basket. Ben had no problem with the egg scattering and had a great time trying to pick up 3-4 eggs at once. After the egg hunt, they wanted no part of the Easter Bunny, and although Ben had a good time in the bounce house, Jack refused.

Easter morning we did Easter baskets, went to church, and had brunch at Al Biernet's. Yummy! We had about a gazillion egg hunts in the front yard and inside and the boys took a 3 hour nap afterwards! Then we had Easter dinner at J's parents, which was really good and the boys had a blast. One more egg hunt for the day! Honey had hidden eggs all over, and they immediately started searching. My cute boys had a great 3rd Easter!
