J's sweet Grandma Millie passed away this past Thursday. Her health has been declining for some time with esophageal cancer and Alzheimer's, so it is comforting to know that her fight is over and she is in a better place. She held on for a long time! I can't help but think that must have been a blessing for her 4 girls and her husband, especially as they had moved to Houston a couple of years ago and I would imagine it was nice for J's Granddad Ralph to have her there while they adjusted to a new home together. Susie told us that Grandma Millie was talking about the twins until the last, which is very sweet and something we will want to remember for them.
We were sad to miss the service today in Houston, but I can't travel and J was worried to be that far away from me, not knowing when the baby will come. We heard it was nice, though, and are looking forward to a second service in Branson in the spring.
This isn't our most recent trip, but this was a good picture from last year of the boys and Christopher with Granddad Ralph and Grandma Millie. These were good visits and she will be missed.
